Lada Zednik - Paddler

Lada Zednik grew up in the small Czech town of Křetín and first came to the United States as an exchange student. He now lives in Rockford, Minnesota, with his wife Amber, four children, and three dogs. He works for a health insurance company where he manages a data science team.

Lada fell in love with canoeing the moment he first stepped into a boat. His favorite place in the world is the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, where he returns as often as he can.

In recent years, he became deeply involved with the Minnesota Canoe Association and developed a passion for canoe racing. He has completed the Mississippi River MR145 canoe race four times, the Missouri River MR340 twice, the Red River 100, and numerous shorter races across the region.
