Ryan Church - Hello friends of the Missouri River Speed Record! Thank you for joining us on what is sure to be an unforgettable adventure. 

I was raised in Bloomington, Minnesota, and now live in St Paul. I grew up visiting the boundary waters canoe area and other lakes and rivers in Minnesota. I have always loved being on and near the water. I’m 68 and retired from a career in state and local government, so I am able to support this effort end-to-end. My wife Chris and I have three adult children who will be watching from their homes in the Twin Cities and Chicago. 

Having joined the support crew for the successful attempt to break the Mississippi Speed Record in 2023, I am eager to help lead the support crew for the Missouri attempt 2026. And this time my wife Chris (and our dog Ria) will pitch in, as well. We will be traveling in a small tear-drop trailer, and hope to visit other parts of the country later this fall.
